cool hand luke and the eel...

Leave it to a local to stroke into the bomb of the day! Solid scoop skills!
Served with a thrashing this time around, but earned a stormwater eel for his troubles... Which he was happy enough to share with Michael Novy... ; )

coastal times...

Had a brief respite from work the week before last and took the opportunity to visit the parents in their always idyllic home in Ettalong Beach... Sandy seaside walks with Ma, Pa and Dana dog and balmy bbq evenings with a couple o glasses of red...
Also finally had the opportunity to present Mama with her belated birthday present, a commissioned portrait of the family pet, care of talented artist and friend, Grant Molony.
Check out more of his amazing skills at

Myself and the evil twin galloped a little closer towards forty this year, celebrating a joined 76 years on this watery sphere... We celebrated at their new Paddington apartment with family and friends, where some gruelling pong battles were won and lost, before heading to the nearby Allianz stadium to watch the Socceroos trounce Jordan 5-1! Getting old ain't so bad... ; )
 Pa's pong domination!
 Handsome spectators...
 What's up there?!
Family fun for all...

emily and dave...

These two! Sydney really is a little less special without them in it... : (
At the moment, Em is covering the Olympics in Rio, while Dave is traipsing through the Americas in an RV... I'm a little green with adventure envy!
Here's a couple o portraits and a rad group o friends from their going away bash a while ago...
Love yas!

freelance united... champions!

I managed to snap a few frames of my team's nail biting grand final win on the weekend... (Sadly I was injured for finals time for the second year running!) We'd been pretty dominant as a group throughout the year, but with injuries and holiday departures,  our squad had been left a little decimated at the critical point in the season!
Thankfully, through sheer force of will, they managed to get over the line for the win, the first for Freelance United since the league began more than ten years ago! Huge congrats to a rad group of peeps! FU! FU! FU! Looking forward to more celebrations soon...
