snowy road trip...

My brother and I made the six or so hour journey south back last September in search of what was left of the remaining Australian snow. We embraced the springtime slush, did our share of piste adventuring, got evacuated from an ancient double chair and capped off the trip with a visit to the National Gallery in Canberra. Got to love hitting the open road. Thanks Ma and Pa for the hookup! x
Whether for surf or snow, there's nothing like an early morning mission... Pleasures of the dawn treading road warrior...
On the other side of the coin... CARCASS! (was a common catch phrase whilst flying down the highway)
Cops be up early in these parts!

yurt life...

Enjoyed a pretty amazing weekend away near Bulli not too long ago, staying in a forest yurt! Would be pretty easy to get used to this way of living... Simple pleasures...

inside outtakes...

Picnic and playtimes whilst digital operating on the set of an Inside Out Christmas special shoot. Late last year with food photographer Katie Quinn Davies...
Here's some of the food that was cooked up (and later devoured) and recipes should you feel like getting creative in the kitchen!
Quite the location! Big ups Birchgrove!
For those who want to know more about what assisting and digital operating is about, my good friend Jem Cresswell just posted a link to this awesome post... Enjoy!

white lines...

It's that time of year when the northern winter wonderland starts to weigh on one's mind... This one's from a little while back but for some reason it never made the blog... One of my first forays into using gels ended up working out pretty sweetly at a well known Hochfilzen rail in Austria... British ripper Niell Campbell nailed a bunch of tricks this evening, with the below front lip making the cut... Stoked!

the ride journal issue 8...

I'm super stoked to have a short piece of writing in the latest issue of The Ride Journal, from our cycling holiday along the Danube back in 2012...
The mag is full of amazing photography, writing and illustration, and jam packed with stories from all over the world, all inspired by travelling on two wheels...
Below is the new cover and a few of my favourite photos from the holiday of a lifetime...
You can order a copy of the mag online, or from cycling stores and quality magazine racks the world over...
 Cracking cover of Issue 8...
Pedalling with parents... Perfect!
The site for a night...
And some stormy, golden light...
Embraced by a village in beautiful Weissenkirchen...
Always time to stop for a photo...
Or a RAD ler...
Night night, sleep tight...
