portfolio #6 published

I've been really happy with the range of material I've had published so far this year. A combination of writing and photography; some commissioned ideas, some freelance submissions, some action, some lifestyle. Hopefully more to come soon! Big thanks to all the editors at the various mags I've submitted images to...
Here's some of my favourites from the last 6 months or so...

portfolio #5 people

A photograph of a person should always tell a story... Luckily for me, I feel I've had the opportunity to meet and work with people who almost ooze narrative to negative... Feel free to drop me a line if you want to hear the long, to go with the short of it...

portfolio #4 places

Travel has been a huge part of my life since... well, since I can remember. A move from the UK to Australia as a child, followed by regular school holiday sojourns with the family, both domestic and international... The usually wave based trips of my teens and early 20s... To the most recent years of European exploration; the Alps, the Atlantic and everything in between... I feel really blessed to have had the opportunity to see, experience and photograph, what I have of this world.
Here's a few colourful memories from some of my favourite places on the planet.
NYC, USA
County Clare, Ireland
La Graciosa, Canary Islands
Soelden, Austria
London, United Kingdom
Sugarloaf Rock, Australia

portfolio #3 surf

In the classic Australian cliche, I grew up on the beach and have been mesmerised by the oceans movements since. Shooting waves really epitomises one of the key ideals of photography for me. Capturing that one, unique, split-second moment in time that will never exist again.
Here's a small selection of some of my personal favourites, both old and new, from waters the world over.
Sean Virtue, Scarborough, Western Australia
Tyge Richardson, Margaret River, Western Australia
Bill Winchester, Galdar, Gran Canaria
Ryan Hardy, Indjidup, Western Australia
Yeray Martinez, Galdar, Gran Canaria

portfolio #2 skate

Here's a selection of some of my favourite skateboarding pics I've shot over the years. Some of my favourite photographers work primarily in skate. Photographically, I find it really progressive and inspirational, and am always psyched when the new issue of The Skateboard Mag arrives in my local shred store.
Jack Lydon, Victoria Park, Western Australia

Alex Campbell, Fremantle, Western Australia
Mykal Lendich, City Beach, Western Australia
Kris Parente, Claremont, Western Australia
Mykal Lendich, Rockingham, Western Australia

portfolio #1 snow

I'm in the process of organising a website at the moment to showcase my photography. These things always take longer than expected so the next few posts are going to be of the portfolio nature.
To get things started, here's a selection of some of my favourite snow pics from the 2010 winter season in Austria...

Nate Kern, Hanglalm, Austria
Kevin Wirl, Kitzbuheler Horn, Austria
Patrick Tilg, Soelden, Austria
Raphael Tonitz, Bad Gastein, Austria
Lifts to nowhere, Kitzbuhel, Austria

berlin

Is where I've been living for the past year or so.
It's truly an amazing city and I'm happy to call it home.
