herr harisch...

As the end of my winter season approaches, I would like to say a huge thank you to Mr Joseph Harisch (and his awesome Oma) for hooking me up with my amazing accommodations this year. Despite a hectic schedule of juggling multiple jobs, preparing to be the heir to to a hotel and holding down a lovely lass, this Limb still manages to find time to shred, on and off the mountain... Cheers brother!

water slide wednesday...

I've been wanting to shoot/ride a decent water gap for, well, about as long as I've been shooting snowboarding. After a good morning of shovelling (and some help from an incredibly friendly piste bully driver) everything came together for this big brown puddle session above Kitzbuhels DC Park on Hanglalm. Like many DIY sessions this year, it also involved a BBQ, tunes and a few beverages... Kevin Wirl earned VIP for hiking like a champion, carving like a madman and entertaining my photographic whims... Cheers pal, and to all the peeps who came along, helped out, and made it an awesome day!

back from the lab...

Big pieces of film! Like an unexpected present, it's always a pleasure to get a delivery back from the lab... Though I haven't had a huge opportunity to use the xpan this year, these two shots accurately sum up what was one of the finest days of the season for me...
The playground...
And the view to the valley...

winter's end...

While the sun worshipers may be praising the arrival of warmer temperatures, I can think of no better view than this to wake to... Ciao for now winter... Come back soon...

zillertal style...

The final day of Snowbombing up the mountain saw the best of the remaining snow pushed into one giant kick with some quality Volvo product placement beneath it. Despite the super slush conditions, the guys competing in the pro contest absolutely killed it with Peter Konig eventually taking the win, his third of the week. Here's local ripper and Aesthetiker legend Chris Kroll styling out a fs3 stale...

morning moon...

Snowbombing schedules led to some pretty strange sleeping patterns. Getting back to normality has been like overcoming jetlag from the other side of the world... Still the bodyclock of a vampire has it's pluses.

spring stitch up...

With the end of the snowboard season drawing near, I've been going through my shots from the year organising folders for submission to various European and Australian magazines. This means a lot of hours spent in front of the lappy post processing photos, outputting jpegs and uploading care of yousendit.com... Seems like I've shot a bunch more static sequences this year as I've spent the best part of today stitching a bunch together... The resulting morphs are always a pleasure to behold, but my goodness it's mind numbing... Anyways, here's some springtime grassboarding care of Mr Scott Chancellor.

hillbombing...

Twas a sunshine filled Zillertal valley on our arrival in Mayrhofen last week, with temperatures topping out at around 30 degrees! After a team meeting and accommodation check in, a bunch of us hit the nearby toboggan course for some speedy fun on rails... No braking needed!

creature of leisure...

I recently received an email from Shaun Wright, at WA based leash company Creatures of Leisure, letting me know they'd used a few of my shots in their 2011 catalogue. Stoked! New dad and all around bestman Ryan Hardy was the subject and I'm really happy with how the photos layed out... Sweet life...

busy times...

Finally back in a more relaxed reality after a hectic couple of weeks on the road. A trip to Ischgl on the other side of Tirol, an inconveniently sick Macintosh (thankfully now healthy again) and a week of Snowbombing madness which included powder, park, photos, work, wee, tobogganing, tux, tunes, food, friends, bands, bass and overall banging good times... I'll have a bunch of posts in the coming days so check back soon...
Anyways, first stop was Ischgl to catch up with a young Australian snowboarder Henry Bessel (in town to rep Oz at the World Rookie Fest) and try and get a few photos for Australian NZ Snowboarder magazine. Despite the less than ideal snow conditions, we managed to get a bunch of pics both in and out of the park, as well as enjoying a bit of Ischgl apres madness... Cheers for the good times Team Bessel and thanks for putting in the hard work Henry...
