metronomy mtv...

The latest single from Metronomy, "The Bay" is out now... Here's the film clip that I helped out on back in May... For some behind the scenes pics check out a couple of my previous posts here... Nice work Richard Stewart and David Wilson!

the future en francais...

Another portrait page in the latest Le Boogie, this time of French wunderkind Pierre Louis Costes... It's been really ace watching PLC's growth and change over the three years since we first met... I clearly remember being amazed at his unlimited energy, health and fitness in 2008, mainly because he lived on a diet of cheap pasta and pasta sauce... It's great to see how his circumstances have evolved and the best thing is, it's all from his own hard work... Keep up the good work mon ami!

jerry's got flavour...

South Africa's Jared Houston has been steadily making moves in bodyboarding over the past couple of years. Big moves, smooth style and always full of smiles; it's ace to see good things coming to those who deserve it...
I was really stoked for this picture perfect air forward to get a decent run in Le Boogie Issue 7. Smooth skills Jerry! Here's a couple of extra pics from the 2010 Canarian season, in and out of the contest arena...

gt unzipped...

Recently received a copy of the latest Le Boogie (Issue number 7) with a few pics of mine scattered throughout, including this portrait of Brazil's finest, Mr Guilherme Tamega...
Congratulations are most certainly due to this long time don of the bodyboarding world as he recently took out the Arica Challenge in Chile in smoking 6-10 foot surf. Good luck for the rest of the year GT!

the nextmen...

If you haven't heard of The Nextmen, then my goodness you are in for a treat. They've been a top 5 of mine for a long while now, their "Child's Introduction to Jazz" and "Personal Golf Instructions" mixes having been part of the soundtrack to my life for more than a couple of years.
Mixing and mashing up everything from funk to hip hop, dancehall to drum and bass, they've also produced tracks with some of the UK (and the world's) finest including Alice Russell, Niney the Observer and Commix, among others.
Anyway, while searching for their summer tour dates I came across their series of podcasts which have been running since late last year. Awesomeness!
The below photos are from August 2008; my first live Nextmen experience while working at the Boardmasters surf contest in Newquay. A soulful live performance from UK soulstress Zarif and an introduction to the High Contrast remix of Pjanoo will be forever burned into my brain!
