Just found out yesterday that I'm set and sorted for a job at Snowbombing again this year! For those of you who don't know, it's a week long festival in the Zillertal town of Mayrhofen combining springtime shred, awesome beats and usually a fair share of boozed madness... I can't wait... Really hoping there's some new accommodations this year though... Last year was a bit OC by the time we left (see below)
it's a blog about my photography, past and present. to see more of my work, check out www.andylawrencephotography.com questions and feedback can be sent to andylawrencephotography@gmail.com hope you enjoy... all photos copyright andy lawrence

white lines 95 trick tips...
Super stoked to have four pages of trick tippery in the latest issue of UK snowboarding mag, White Lines.
I first met Ollie Plumley a couple of years back while working for Boardwise London (an unfortunate victim of the GEC) It's funny to think back; the first time we got to shoot was actually in store while trying to pass the time! (see below)
Anyways, we managed to hook up a few times last year in his home away from home resort of Mayrhofen. We both worked hard this day trying to get a bunch of different stuff on different obstacles, so it's really rewarding to see it in print. Cheers brother, hope we can make some more gold this season! Woop!

innsbrooklyn by night...
Innsbruck is one incredibly awesome city. Epic boarding close by in almost all directions, a student fueled super fun nightlife, and beauty all around. I snapped this long-ish exposure after finishing up work on the annual Air and Style contest at Bergisel. Pretty city...
we need more snow!
What is with this heat?! It's pretty much been two weeks without snowfall and it's looking and feeling more and more like spring everyday, despite it being the middle of February. Great for the park, but that's about all... Hopefully there's more snow on the way in the coming weeks or the season will be over before it's begun!
Anyway, thought I'd post a few pics from around Australia Day this year when there was still a bunch of fresh pow around. A little hiking, a little building and voila! You've got yourself a super fun session!
And there's the crew... scoping...

Trade show mania... ISPO 2011
Trade shows can be both awesome and agonising at the same time... It's always ace to see all the new gear, swindle some free bits and pieces and generally take in the hustle and bustle, but it can be an overwhelming experience... Thankfully, ISPO in Munich this last weekend was definitely more ups than downs... Some quality peeps to meet and chat with, probably the best mini ramp I've ever seen (courtesy of Volcom) and some quality Bavarian hospitality care of Rhythm... Can't wait for next year!
Air and Style 2011
Headed in to Innsbruck on Saturday night for Air and Style at the awesome Bergisel ski jump with free old school entertainment care of Pennywise. Massive thanks to good pal Woodrow Sedgeman at Billabong for the hookup!
Double cork 12s seemed to be the order of the day, though the first ever contest cab double cork 14 went down in the first round... Mindblowing. I have to say though, my favourite part of the eve was the warm up runs for the main event; super styled 3s and 5s, and Robbie Walkers epic fs3 statefish... Repping Australia with steez...

Sarah Jane...
The fairer quart of what has been our four person street team thus far this season. And arguably the fairest at this rail to drop spot last week! Always amped on snowboarding... even more so now that she's shooting for an upcoming Capita film! Fingers crossed for a season of shred and a part to be proud of...
Rallo...
I've known Raffi for a few years now and he's always had dope style on a board, especially in the streets! He works hard for his sponsors both on and off the hill and is always keen to ride. These reasons and more are why we started hooking up to go shoot a couple o years back and the good times are still rolling... Here's a couple of early season pics of Raf, as well as one of my favs from last year...

hitting the streets...
Been out and about on the streets a bunch in the last couple of weeks with Raffi Tonitz and Andy and Sarah Phillips creating all sorts of urban fun... I was super stoked to see Andy get the best of this long wooden rail last week... Working hard and ripping harder!
Some of Raf and SJP to come in the next days, and of all three I'm sure, in the next months...
back in black... i mean white...
Not many things better than warming up for a winter with a few friends and a few frames, after some fresh falls... Amping for the months to come! Woop!
