white horses equinox...

After the success of last year's "Winterfell" issue, the team at White Horses this year proposed another timeline based project, this time surrounding the Equinox. The Equinox is essentially the day in the year when there are approximately equal hours of day and night...
Unfortunately, the forces of nature did not conspire to produce much in the way of waves, but they sure did produce some beautiful scenes! Here's what I shot during the 100 hours surrounding the autumn Equinox...
 Tall ships...
 Lion Island...
 Little point reelers...
 Pride...
 Sky fire...
 Light writing...
 Trumped by nature again...

US road trippin... san diego...

The US sure can be a fun filled place for a road trip... Earlier in the year I spent about 10 days cruising part of the wild west in celebration of Becky Clark's thirtieth year on the planet... Here's a few highlights from our speedy sojourn... Enjoy...
San Diego was pretty damn good to us... Sunshine, waves, amazing food and fun times... Onwards to Sin City!
 Beaming balcony times...
Pacific Beach pulsing...
 Stars get down...
Glorious sun...
That's some gooood bbq!
Ribtastic...
Late night drinks by the fire...
With a late night view...
Good morning San Diego!
A great way to start the day...
 Stumbling on spots...

Enjoyed a pretty amazing weekend away near Bulli not too long ago, staying in a forest yurt! Would be pretty easy to get used to this way of living... Simple pleasures...

berlin by night...

Sifting through the archives is always fun, especially for bringing back fond memories. I'm trying to get some images together to update my website and came across these pics from this time last year in Berlin... I'd finished up work around 1am and decided to roam the streets on my bike till the early hours setting up some long exposures... Fun times and a different perspective of one of my favourite cities...
Berliner Dome...

Oberbaumbrucke...
The city and spree...

morning moon...

Snowbombing schedules led to some pretty strange sleeping patterns. Getting back to normality has been like overcoming jetlag from the other side of the world... Still the bodyclock of a vampire has it's pluses.
