on the horizon...

So after many attempts at repair, I finally had to accept, earlier this year, that my beloved Hasselblad Xpan is dead... Final autopsy revealed irreparable water damage... Sad times...
Rather than shell out for a new body, i decided to try a cheaper, Russian alternative (what seems to be becoming a more and more common solution for me) Presenting the Horizon 202!
He's a strange and wily beast, but takes some pretty rad panoramic images, given the right conditions!

a quick trip to copenhagen...

With a few days in between my return from Austria and my departure for Copenhagen, I decided to maximise every minute by catching up with as many friendly London faces as I possibly could! It was a whirlwind couple of days, but getting some one on one time with family and friends was amazing, and left me feeling fulfilled and full of good vibes...
As if things couldn't get any better, we were soon touching down in CPH, a place I've had a city crush on since a spontaneous visit in 2012... We stayed with friends Scott and Sophia (two of the hardest working food and wine frothers known to man!) in their apartment in Norrebro, and were treated to a tour of some of the city's nicest nooks for eating and drinking... The vibe in CPH is certainly infectious and it seems to have all the right things going for it... But at the end of the day it's the people who make a place... Huge thanks to Scott, Sophia, Adam, Rikke and the friends we made along the way for making the holiday part of our holiday so awesome... Big love xxoo

white horses equinox...

After the success of last year's "Winterfell" issue, the team at White Horses this year proposed another timeline based project, this time surrounding the Equinox. The Equinox is essentially the day in the year when there are approximately equal hours of day and night...
Unfortunately, the forces of nature did not conspire to produce much in the way of waves, but they sure did produce some beautiful scenes! Here's what I shot during the 100 hours surrounding the autumn Equinox...

afternoon delight...

Prepared like a boy scout, carrying the camera kit religiously always results in unexpected opportunities... This particular afternoon on the point brought with it new angles and some good old fashioned #cloudporn ...
