tonnta issue 14...

I was pleasantly surprised to recently receive a copy of the Irish surf rag "Tonnta" in the post care of deputy editor Shambles McGoldrick. I was even more stoked to find a selection of my pics from the 2012 Canarian season inside... Always nice to see unpublished pics get a run!

joining the OM1 club...

While gripping on a feature film over the summer, I had the chance to work alongside a couple of amazing photographers, Nicola Dove and Agatha Nitecka. I was especially inspired by Agatha who rolled onto set halfway through with a Nikon FM2 on one shoulder and an FM3 on the other! 

It inspired me to try to get back to shooting film more regularly and so I thought the purchase of a small, manual, 35mm slr was in order... 

Enter the Olympus OM1 into my life! She's a beauty... One roll down, many, many to go...

Last year I ventured into the North Sea for some autumn exploration with Jack Johns, Ben Player and Ed Saltau. Despite the short days and trying conditions it ranks up there as one of my favourite surf trips ever... It truly seems like an age since I shot the photos in this issue but, having finally seen the feature in the flesh, I can honestly say it's been worth the wait!
