covers! carve 139...

While shooting with Wing in Ireland last year, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to shoot some of Ireland's best surfers including good friends Fergal Smith and Hugh Galloway. Just over a month later, I was stoked to find out I'd scored my first cover of a surfing magazine, a flaring Ailens barrel of Irish lad Cain Kilcullen! Inside Carve 139, Ferg and Hugh also enjoyed double page spreads for their efforts and a sequence of Cain's wave also featured... 

It's been a dream of mine for a while now to shoot a cover for a bodyboard, surf, skate and snow mag... Two down, two to go I guess!

feelin irie...

So twas well over a year now that I helped out on my first modelling gig for Berlin based brand Irie Daily... As I've posted before, they went on to use my pic as an ad in a number of magazines and I found out a little while back that I was also on the cover of their 2011 Fall/Winter catalogue... Stoked!

I was even more stoked last week when a large, unexpected package arrived for me from them, with copies of the catalogue as well as a bunch of new threads... And rad threads they are...

Inside RT 186...

Finally got my hands on the latest Riptide last week which is full of a bunch of my pictures and words captured throughout the 2011 Canarian season, as well as a super cool feature titled "Battle on the Bono", a piece covering Dallas Singer's recent trip to the now famous Indonesian tidal bore... 

I'm super stoked with how the mag turned out and would like to send a big thanks to editor Tim Leeson and designer Dave Heavyside for all their hard work! Here's a few of my favourite bits and pieces...

Coooovvveeerrrrrssss! 

I was super surprised and stoked when I awoke Thursday morning to find a photo of mine on the cover of Riptide Bodyboarding Magazine Issue 186. 

I'd say it's pretty much a dream come true for any photographer and, understandably, I'm over the moon! 

Even more stoked that it's the talented Mr Jack Johns boosting into the stratosphere at Fronton, and onto his second Riptide cover. 

London brothers making it happen yo!
