good habing... a week of winter...

I'd had an eye on this setup for a couple of different shots over the past couple of seasons, but there'd previously never been enough snow... Cue the winter I'm not living in the alps... Though our late night build didn't quite work out as planned, it was a good one to learn from and another opportunity for me to mess around with colour...

hochfilzen... a week of winter...

First photographic stop on tour was an urban night shoot at a well known down rail in Hochfilzen, which gave everyone a good chance for a first-of-the-season warm up and gave me a great chance to try out some new gels! Despite forgotten cables, a slow start and unrelenting snow(can't complain), everyone bagged a sweet shot and we made some pretty funny local friends along the way!

Last year wasn't the most productive snow season for me photographically, despite committing to a full stint in the alps with grand plans. It's bound to happen when you put all your chips in mother nature's hands... However everyone was dealt the same average hand in Europe and it showed in many a creative/DIY feature through the 2011/2012 mags...

This DPS came about care of hard work when it mattered, making the most of what we were given... And so I present to you Mr Andy Phillips, all round ripper and husband extraordinaire 5-0ing some Westendorf wood in the latest issue of The Reason... With a bonus teaser from what has already been an amazing 2012 season... Let it snow!
