cockatoo island...

Back in February, I was treated to a birthday surprise day out care of my lovely lady... The early part of the day involved hats and hotdogs before we headed to the harbour for a camping expedition to Cockatoo Island! The island has a really interesting history as both a penal colony and a shipyard, which we ended up hearing loads about when we bumped into a former employee! The weather was amazing and we somehow managed to luck into the best spot on the island to set up our tent...
It was pretty surreal to be woken up by the moon in the middle of the night...
 Shining light...
 Industry...
 Tunnels...
 Island hoops...
Bloody Hambone, he's always up to no good...
Campground coffee chill bongs... Keeping it classy...

US road trippin... phoenix to san diego...

The US sure can be a fun filled place for a road trip... Earlier in the year I spent about 10 days cruising part of the wild west in celebration of Becky Clark's thirtieth year on the planet... Here's a few highlights from our speedy sojourn...

yogi o bara...

My friend Skip is nothing short of a fantastic friend and all round awesome human being. We took a bunch of photos at beautiful Meelup Beach in Western Australia a while back for her to use in promoting her work as a yoga instructor. Shapely skills! Thanks to assistant for a day Lucy Higgins who also jumped in on the fun!

POW wow! a week of winter...

Thanks to the generosity of a few friends, I was able to change my flight home to take in what would be the first bluebird day after a decent dump of schnee... It worked out pretty damn well for all involved...
A long, leg burning day of riding, hiking, clouds of powder, drops, picking lines and all in all, good times!
There really is just nothing quite like a day of shredding pow...
FIrst lines, just off the piste...
There was some excitement on the way up...
Second run, first tracks... Clouds for daaaaays!
Rallo and Jossi twin turns...
Stevey Wood blasting... his own face off...
Fun by the fence line...
