break neck birthday...

Five years ago yesterday, my good friend Paul survived both an accident which broke his neck, and the lengthy operation to fix it. He was told by doctors that it should be his second birthday as he was lucky to be alive. So happy 5th birthday hipnecky!

I did my first ever winter snow season in 2007 in Kitzbuhel. Snow wise, it was the worst winter there in 20 years and I managed to break my left shoulder twice resulting in two sperate operations over a 3 month period. Despite all this, I managed to fall in love with the place, stayed for the summer and have been back every winter since. Here's a few oldies but goodies I found recently to bring some memories floating back...
