freelance united... champions!

I managed to snap a few frames of my team's nail biting grand final win on the weekend... (Sadly I was injured for finals time for the second year running!) We'd been pretty dominant as a group throughout the year, but with injuries and holiday departures,  our squad had been left a little decimated at the critical point in the season! 

Thankfully, through sheer force of will, they managed to get over the line for the win, the first for Freelance United since the league began more than ten years ago! Huge congrats to a rad group of peeps! FU! FU! FU! Looking forward to more celebrations soon...

So last year, I played my first full season of 11 a side football with the Collaroy Cromer Strikers. Well, almost a full season... Sadly, I tore my MCL in my right knee, in the week before the grand final... Which we won, along with the minor premiership... Sigh...

Anyway, to celebrate an awesome season with a bunch of awesome peeps, we ventured north to Forresters Beach and enjoyed a lads weekend of drinking, FIFA on Xbox, drinking, playing beach football and... more drinking... Super stoked to have ended up on a team full of such ace peeps! CC!

"f***ing football friends"...

I've had a ball this past year playing football with a rad bunch of guys and girls, despite injuring my MCL at the tail end of the season. Looking forward to getting back into it in 2016!

Big ups to the CC Strikers AL5s for winning both the minor premiership and the grand final, and also to Freelance United for an epic 3rd place finish!

a quick trip to copenhagen...

With a few days in between my return from Austria and my departure for Copenhagen, I decided to maximise every minute by catching up with as many friendly London faces as I possibly could! It was a whirlwind couple of days, but getting some one on one time with family and friends was amazing, and left me feeling fulfilled and full of good vibes...

As if things couldn't get any better, we were soon touching down in CPH, a place I've had a city crush on since a spontaneous visit in 2012... We stayed with friends Scott and Sophia (two of the hardest working food and wine frothers known to man!) in their apartment in Norrebro, and were treated to a tour of some of the city's nicest nooks for eating and drinking... The vibe in CPH is certainly infectious and it seems to have all the right things going for it... But at the end of the day it's the people who make a place... Huge thanks to Scott, Sophia, Adam, Rikke and the friends we made along the way for making the holiday part of our holiday so awesome... Big love xxoo
